Adopt
a Racing Greyhound

At first, we had some definite adjustment problems with Zoo. First of all, she was extremely hostile to Ko, but was willing to accept all of us, including Spock as her pack. After about a week of warning Ko off constantly, she suddenly decided that she and Ko would be best of friends. She first started playing with Ko and then they became fairly inseparable. When they first started playing, it was apparent that Zoo had never been allowed to play - and Ko very patiently showed her how to play dog-style - grabbing throats and wrestling. It wasn't very long before Zoo and Ko would both come in from outside needing baths from grabbing each other and rolling the dirt. Other adjustment problems were house-breaking and teaching Zoo that she had her OWN bowl - and she wouldn't be allowed to own all the food bowls in the house. She learned quickly, however, and is getting along quite nicely now.
