Twas a night before
Christmas, all dark and quite snowy; the wind was amazing, all blustery
and blowy. And into my ear a small voice
whispered "Quick! Let's grab the north wind and go visit St. Nick!"
So I grabbed up my coat and my
gloves and my hat; I glanced at the boots, oh, I can't forget that! I
raced down the stairway and flung open the door! "I'm ready!"
I shouted, the wind cried "Let's Soar!"
Over the housetops I found myself flying. "Hey,
this is terrific!", I found myself crying. And in a few minutes the
scenery changed. There were no more houses, just a large, long white
range!
And then in the distance I saw a large snowman who
waved to me wildly "A visitor! Oh, how grand!" The wind set me
down on the pole quite neat! Then it sped off again, it was more than
just fleet!
The snowman waddled up, "Oh, Greetings Christmas
friend! This is the North Pole, AKA the earth's end!" And waving
his arm, I saw a sight so amazing that I caught my breath and my heart
started racing.
For there in the snowscape I saw a small cottage. I
blinked twice or more, was I entering my dotage? No, the house was quite
real and covered with snow and the snowman was waddling there with me in
his tow.
That's how I met Santa who was really quite cheery! The
rest of my life now could seem very dreary. But now take the tour, come
see what I saw and know why I now follow old elfin law.
For Christmas is with us each day of the year, Happy
Holidays to all and be of good cheer! |
