Chocolate Rum Balls

1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer cookies -- crushed

1/2 cup powdered sugar -- sifted

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/4 cup light corn syrup

3 Tablespoons rum

1/2 teaspoon orange peel -- shredded

1/4 cup powdered sugar -- sifted

In bowl, stir together chocolate wafers, 1/2 c. powdered sugar and nuts.

Stir in light corn syrup, rum and orange peel. Using one level

tablespoonful for each cookies, shape mixture into 3/4-inch balls. Roll

in 1/4 c. powdered sugar. Store in covered container. Makes 2 to 2 1/2

dozen cookies
