cemetery index for the Christ Cemetery, Port Republic, Calvert Co, MD. I would
be interested in any data you might be able to supply. Thank you kindly for
your time and assistance. The couple below was married in this church and I'm
hoping they may have been buried in the cemetery there. Surname: WHITE 1.

| I believe that Isaac's father was Thomas Denton and
that he was born between 1784-1787. However, I can't find a definitive recorded
link to Thomas. Thomas and John Denton were the sons of
George Denton as shown through George's will. However, I can't
find who George's parents are or when George was born or died. |

| I would like a lookup of the following names please, and also could
you tell me where in Calvert Co, in 1880, was District 2? I have no idea what
part of the county these people are from. Perhaps they will be in the church
records you have. I don't believe censuses of 1840 or earlier list any name
other than the haed of house so that wouldn't be much help. I'd appreciate what
ever you can do. Also, can you tell me which newspaper might carry obituaries
for someone from "District 2?" Benjamin BOWEN, b ca 1842 in
Calvert Co, possibly to Zacheriah & Priscilla Bowen wife
Priscilla (last unknown), b ca 1845 in MD children William M. 12
- Carry E 10 - Ann M 8 - Harriett J. 1 This info is from the 1880 census, and
my primary interest is in Carry E. The Carrie BOWEN I am looking
for was from Calvert Co and would be about 8 at this time (but errors are made
in giving info to a census taker!), and her mother was Priscilla. Carrie MORGAN
BOWEN died 7/3/01 in Baltimore, but newspapers there mentioned copying Calvert
Co papers. Her 3 small children were raised in Calvert Co. by her mother
Priscilla after her death. |
