Left Behind Series: A series of "Christian Novels" detailing the "End Times". The authors state that there will be a total of 14 books in this series, published through 2002.

	Left Behind - A Novel of the Earth's Last Days by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins The Rapture, as preached by Born-Again Christians, is when Jesus Christ will gather his true-believers up to heaven, leaving the rest of the world to their own devices. This book, is about what happened when the Rapture occurred. Rayford Steele, a pilot for Pan-Con Airways, is at the half-way point of his Chicago to London flight when his head flight attendant, Hattie Durham tells him that some of the passengers are missing, including all of the children. The mystery and confusion deepens when it is discovered that all over the world, people have disappeared leaving only their clothing and jewelry behind. Rayford, his daughter Chloe, a pastor and a newsmagazine writer all find one another and fine that they will have to lead the fight against the antiChrist in the coming Armegeddon. I devoured this book. I read it in two days and enjoyed it immensely. I am rather daunted by the fact that there are, I think, 13 sequels to this novel. I hope that they are all this good. This book really makes you think, at the same time it reads like any of the best mystery/horror novels I've read in a long time!
	Tribulation Force - The Continuing Drama of Those Left Behind - by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins Rayford Steele, his daughter, Chloe, Pastor Bruce Barnes and journalist Cameron (Buck) Williams have banded together to form the Tribulation Force. Rayford and Buck are pressed into service of the man, Nicolae Carpathia, that they begin to believe may be the antiChrist. Nicolae has burst onto the world political scene, taken over the United Nations and signed a peace agreement with the nation of Israel. and has introduced policies that will bring the world together as a global village. In the meantime, God's judgement has started as predicted in the Book of Revelations.
	Soul Harvest - The World Takes Sides - by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins So far, this is the most adventurous and exciting of the book, as the Tribulation Force and Nicolae Carpathia get ready to square off. Having survived the global earthquake, Ray and Buck search desperately for their wives. Once again, the book takes us all over the world from Palatine, Illinois to the bottom of the Tigris River. I have to confess, I am hooked on this series. The books are very easy to read, yet complex enough to keep the pages turning, faster and faster. Using Revelations to spur on the plot, the authors of this series of books have a real winner here!
	Apollyon - The Destroyer is Unleashed - By Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins The great meeting of the Witnesses is the center point for this fast-paced, dramatic and sometimes really horrifying book. Tens of thousands of believers assemble in Jerusalem to hear the ministry of their rabbi/teacher Tsion Ben-Judah. What will Nicolae's reaction be? What will the two witness, Eli and Moishe do when Carpathia imposes restrictions on their evangelizing? Will the Tribulation Force be allowed to attend the meeting and leave in peace? What is the fifth Trumpet Judgement? All of these questions are answered in this episode of the Left Behind Series. Rayford discovers the truth about his beloved wife, Amanda and Hattie, his former flight attendant and ex-lover of Nicolae. Another winner here! I recommend this book, but please read the entire series - starting with "Left Behind". It's worth it!
	Assassins - The Great Tribulation Unfolds by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins Halfway through the Tribulation time, it has been 3 1/2 years since Nicolae Carpathia signed an agreement with the Israeli government, guaranteeing its protection. And the Tribulation Force struggles to continue its ongoing ministry and missions. The head of the One-World faith, Peter II's life is in jeopardy. The two Witness are approaching their "Due Time". Rayford is struggling with himself to control his constant rage and frustration. New members are joining the Tribulation Force from all over the world, but two people the Force most want, Dr. Chaim Rosenberg and Hattie Durham, have yet to commit. 200 Million demonic horsemen are traveling the world; their mission is to bring death to 1/3 of the remaining population of the World. And through all of this, Nicolae Carpathia rules over a world that is becoming more and more corrupt. Will someone on the Tribulation Force fulfill the prophecy of Carpathia's death which will lead to his resurrection as the AntiChrist? Still an easy read, Assassins is another good book!
	Indwelling - The Beast Takes Possession by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B.Jenkins While awaiting the resurrection of the AntiChrist, the Tribulation Force finds itself, once again, all over the globe and in serious danger of being discovered. Especially now that Hattie Durham has resurfaced. Unlike the previous novels, this one takes place over just three days (the others have covered months and years). While I thought that the writing was a bit less compelling that the previous novels, at least until about the last third of the book, this is an addictive series and I can hardly wait until the next book is released. This is a good read - easy, if a little slower and more violent than the ones that came before. Still, it is a good read!
